I bought this in trifold in anticipation of our recent trip to Spain and France. I'd been warned about pickpockets, especially those in and around Barcelona, and I wanted to feel more secure. I am so glad I had it! I kept the chain wrapped around my belt, a belt loop and then fastened to itself. While entering a historic church (!) I felt a slight tug around my right front pocket, where I had stored the wallet. I looked down to see the dainty little hand of a dainty little woman pulling gently on the chain. I said and swung around to take a photo of her, which I showed to a local security guy.
Fact is, I use it every day now because I tend to lose things. When driving and stopping to pay tolls, carry out, etc, I tend to take money out of my wallet and then put the thing on my lap or between my legs, and then dropping it when I get out of the car. Or I may lay it on a store counter when paying for something. With the chain it is always with me. It's a great everyday wallet, with a divided, zippered main compartment, one small zippered outer pocket (handy for Euro coins) and one small Velcro pocket. Inside there are six slots for credit or ID cards and one pocket with a plastic window for you license or picture of your main squeeze.
One hint if you are using this for security: I think the chain clued the little gypsy lady in Spain that it was worth trying to steal. I just kept a few Euros in there and one of my two credit cards in there. I kept another credit card, my ATM card, my driver's licenses (Ohio and international) and my passport in a another great item I found on Amazon, here:[...]

I bought this for my husband as an everyday wallet. It is a great quality wallet. The materials are sturdy and the zippered money section is great. The chain has a locking mechanism that locks up and is difficult to open. Just remove the small plastic clip from the lock and it works fine. This is an item I would purchase again.
